Everything You Need to Know: Stellar Crystal

Stellar Crystal is the 9th main expansion for the Scarlet & Violet era. This set introduces Stellar Tera Pokémon like Terapagos, Pikachu, Alolan Exeggutor, and Ceruledge to the TCG for Simplified Chinese Pokémon and will be released on 15 May 2026. This set highlights the ‘Stellar’ type, which acts as a versatile Tera type that boosts moves of all types once per battle. You can think about it like that ‘Nitro’ button you see in movies when they want the cars to go extra fast during a race…

Stellar Crystal Booster Pack Design

Based on Pokémon’s release history in China, this release will be available in two variants: a jumbo version and a slim version.

What is the difference between them?

The Jumbo Pack contains 20 cards in a pack – seen on the pack’s top left corner in red.

The Slim Pack contains 5 cards in a pack – seen on the pack’s top left corner in black.

Collectors note: There are no guaranteed SR’s in EITHER of the boxes. This has changed since the release of Brave Stars back in 2024. Nothing in life is guaranteed really, suppose we’ll just have to accept it. Unless, they’ve cleverly just said there are none then secretly made sure there always is one. This way everyone feels lucky and the world is a better place. We can always dream!

Collector’s Tip: Jumbo Boxes have the chance of a “God Box”. That means each pack will contain a SR rarity and above in Every. Single. Pack!

For those new to the Simplified Chinese Pokémon world. Welcome!

Pokémon China does things a little differently as they are playing “catch up” to the rest of the world. They only launched the TCG back in 2022 and started with Sun and Moon era.

So why is that relevant? Due to them only starting the TCG recently, they decided to create their own sets entirely by combining multiple sets.

Standout of this set will be the Stellar Tera Pikachu EX SAR illustrated by GIDORA. GIDORA’s art style is notable for being highly detailed with a vibrate flare. One to watch and hopefully catch out here. Goodluck to all of you!

What would a Simplified Chinese Pokémon set be without an exclusive card hey?

This time featuring a fan favourite trainer, Lisia!

Illustrated by En Morikura, who is no stranger to illustrating the pretty Waifu cards. Notably, they also illustrate the normal Lisia’s Appeal card (SR) which will also be in this set. The card appeared in the 2024 Japanese Paradise Dragona and English Surging Sparks sets. It is highly coveted by collectors so finding this card is a little like pressing that nitro button just before the end of the— (Enough with this now..).
