Everything You Need to Know: Chasing Glory Together

Someone once said… A jockey is pure human instinct and skill guiding a horse’s physical ability. In the same way, a Pokémon trainer is human intelligence guiding a fantastical creature’s unique power – even if it’s just snoozing. In both scenarios, the winner is not just the strongest individual. It’s the strongest connection. Man, this stuff is almost poetry!

TLDR version: A jockey without a pony is just a small person wearing funny pants. A Pokémon trainer without a Pokémon is just someone shouting attack commands at the wildlife.

And so, after an overly long introduction (that would not have worked after this paragraph) we end up with Chasing Glory Together. This is the 10^th main expansion for the Scarlet & Violet era and introduces a new feature element to the Pokémon TCG: Pokémon alongside their trainers.

Chasing Glory Together Booster Pack Design

Based on Pokémon’s release history in China, this release will be available in two variants: a jumbo version and a slim version.

What is the difference between them?

• Number of cards
• Hit difference!

The Jumbo Pack contains 20 cards in a pack – seen on the pack’s top left corner in red.

The Slim Pack contains 5 cards in a pack – seen on the pack’s top left corner in black.

Important to note #1 There are no guaranteed SR’s in EITHER of the boxes. This has changed since the release of Brave Stars back in 2024. Not so important: Sad face.

Important to note #2: Since the release of Stellar Crystal, there is a change in the quantity of boxes per case. For the Scarlet & Violet era, Jumbo cases used to contain only 12 boxes per case, and Slim cases used to contain 20 boxes per case. Now both cases contain 20 boxes each. Not so important: Happy face.

Collector’s Tip: Jumbo Boxes have the chance of a “God Box”. That means each pack will contain a SR rarity and above in Every. Single. Pack!

How many Cards will be in this set?

A historic total of 287 cards will be in this set. This is now officially the largest Simplified Chinese Pokémon set to date! As we all know, quantity doesn’t always mean quality, but in this case it certainly does.

Some history. For those new to the Simplified Chinese Pokémon world. Hello there! How you doing? We’re good this side. Been a little warm out these days and the swans have returned to the lake down by the… Oh wait. You came here for Pokémon news. Sorry, we get a little too frieldnly with the new people. Anyway.

Pokémon China does things a little differently as they are playing “catch up” to the rest of the world. They only launched the TCG back in 2022 and started with Sun and Moon era.

Why is that relevant?

Due to them only starting the TCG recently, they decided to create their own sets entirely by combining multiple sets.

Below you’ll see a table which illustrates how many cards from each of the English sets you’ll find in this set. (This will be updated once the full set list is revealed).

Some chase cards…

Destined Rivals being one of the more popular sets in the S&V era, means we’re getting some heavy hitters such as Team Rockets Mewtwo. Favourites from Journey together include N’s Reshiram and Lillie’s Clefairy. It’s important to note we likely won’t be seeing all the Illustration Rare’s from Destined Rivals, which means we can possibly see them in a future Gem Pack set 👀 We’ll be sure to let you know when we do.

Simplified Chinese Exclusive Card

Not an expected exclusive card, but we’ll most definitely take it! ‘Brocks Scouting’ is the Simplified Chinese exclusive card in this set and is illustrated by Atsushi Furusawa.

Atsushi Furusawa is no stranger to the TCG and has been illustrating for the Pokemon TCG since ‘Chilling Reign’ in Sword & Shield era. He has illustrated over 50 cards, including reprints.

Chasing Glory Together Coin Set

There are 5 RR (Double Rare) rarity cards to collect

There are 25 cards from C/U/R rarity to collect. There is also a 99:1 chance of obtaining a masterball for the foiled card.
