Crystal Gathering is celebrating Eevee and its Eeveelutions in all their sparkling glory. This will be the first sub-set for Simplified Chinese Pokémon in the Scarlet & Violet era. This set is also known as “Terastal Gathering”. Check it out below…
But.. Before you go… Something to consider. Eeveelutions just rolls off the tongue, so we got to wondering about some other combinations – staring with the obvious ones… Pikolutions, Mewvolutions, and Grovylutions! Now, if you’re thinking, “Hey! All they’re doing here is adding different kinds of “volutions” onto the end of things.” Then yes, you’d be right!
Facts: This is one of the largest launches for a single set, with a total of 7 different products launching the same day.

Crystal Gathering Booster Pack Design
As it is a sub-set, there is no “Jumbo” and “Slim” variation of this box.
This booster pack is almost identical in design to its Japanese counterpart, however the Pokémon featured on the booster pack differ slightly.
Hit Rates Baby
Let’s take a look at the booster pack hit ratio below.
As you’ll note, this set contains 259 cards. For those that are a little crazier and love a good “master set”, there are a total of 601 cards.
Note: For those new to the hobby, a “master set” means you will collect every card in the set, including the reverse holo foil cards. In this this set, there are two variations – the Poké ball reverse and the Master ball reverse.
Your Guarantees
We all want to know what exactly is guaranteed per pack and per box. Previous sets for Simplified Chinese in the S&V era have not had any guarantees per box (for both slim and jumbo boxes). That finally changes with Crystal Gathering! Huzzah!
Based on our experience of opening many, many, many (can we add another many in here) packs and boxes…
Per Pack: you do get a minimum of an “EX” card.
Per Box: you do get a SAR per box! You also have the chance of pulling 2 SARs even…
Collector’s Tip: There are no ARs (Art Rares) in this set. Neither was there in its counterpart in Japanese and English – Prismatic Evolutions and Terastal Festival.
The Good Stuff
Alright, let’s now have a look at the Crystal Gathering cards.
Crystal Gathering has the exact same “hit cards” as Terastal Festival. Which means all the lovely Eeveelutions are up for grabs, as well as the cool Polaroid-snapped style of the Trainer SARs.
Simplified Chinese Exclusive Card
What would a Chinese set be without its very own exclusive card. This time, we’re straying away from the recent exclusive “Trainer” cards, and back to an exclusive Pokémon card!
Featuring Sylveon, illustrated by “rika”.
This illustrator’s richly detailed, watercolour-inspired style brings an almost storybook quality to Pokémon TCG artwork.
Note: “rika” is a fairly new illustrator to the Pokémon TCG, debuting with their first illustration back for Obsidian Flames with Umbreon (seems fitting they are illustrating the exclusive Eeveelution card now).

Crystal Gathering Coin Set
There is a total of 9-coin box variations (of course it is Eevee and its Eevelutions…). Each Box will contain the corresponding Pokémon card as well as a coin. Each coin will have a total of 10 variations of it. If you haven’t done the maths already, we’ve done it for you – there will be a total of 90 coins to collect.

Crystal Gathering Storage Box
There are 9 different coloured storage boxes, featuring Eevee and its Eeveelutions (if you haven’t noticed the trend here…). Each Pokémon has 3 variations of the storage box to collect, the “normal” rarity, “secret” rarity and the “super-secret” rarity.
Fun fact: The storage box and the coin have the Pokémon’s name displayed on it – in ENGLISH.

Surprise! This box only has this design and is a blind box. There are 81 different badges to collect from this blind box. 72 of them are “normal” rarity and 9 of them are “secret” rarity.

Crystal Gathering Pendant Gift Box
Another blind box! These little card holders are always a real cutie patootie* addition to your bag. There are a total of 9 “normal” styled card holders and another 9 of “secret” rarity which is the Pokémon in its Tera form. Each box will also come with a Pokémon card, with the chance of getting the “ex” Tera form of the Pokémon instead.
Seeing that we’re using made up words here’s where this comes from: “Cutie patootie” originates from American slang in the early 20th century, combining the affectionate word “cutie” with the rhythmic, rhyming nonsense word “patootie”. So are these cuteevotooties then?

Crystal Gathering Coin Display Set
A nice display for all your fav Eeveelution coins. The display holder is made out of fibreboard, metal and magnets. The box comes with nine coins but you can replace them with the different coloured coins you may have pulled from the actual Coin Set.
